Introduction.........

I first started making cards about 7 years ago after watching a craft show on TV and pretty soon I was hooked!! I mainly use rubber stamps for my cards as I love colouring the images.

I buy my suppplies from many wondeful online retailers or I stock up when I go to the shows at the NEC twice a year.

I hope you enjoy my blog.....

Some Traditional Christmas cards

Well the weather outside is frightful......but its the perfect excuse for staying in and making some cards!
I have made a few more traditional cards as some people (subtext: My Mom) prefer these....
The stamp is from flower soft and I have coloured using copics and decorated with flower soft in vintage flowers and ivory. The backing card is Stampin up! and the backing papers are from Websters pages and the vellum from my old Christmas stash!

Below is the inside................

And a few more......

All these are heading for Russell's Hall Hospitals Kidney unit

Some more Christmas Cards....

Well,  I had the afternoon off work today to make some more Christmas cards ......but I actually only managed to make three. Its all the colouring that takes the time!! These two are coloured as always using Copics and Prismacolor pencils and the papers are from K&co and Echo park. Both stamped images are from www.liliofthevalley.co.uk and i will be entering the first one into this weeks challenge at http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

My next card was stamped with 'Dasher' image from Stampin up! using Jenny Bowlin ink. I then used glossy accents and glitter to make him sparkle. The papers are from Websters pages....

Hopefully I will be making some more this weekend so watch this space!!! xxx

I finally started some Christmas cards!

I decided it was about time I started my Christmas cards, as usual I have left it to the last minute!

This first card is using papers from Websters pages and the sentiment is from Catslife press. The image is from lili of the valley and coloured using copics and prismacolor pencils
I kept the inside simple in cream and the leftovers from the papers on the front. Backing card is from Stampin up!

My second card is again a lili of the valley image and coloured with cpoics and prismacolor pencils, with a Catslife press sentiment, but the papers are from Echo Parks 'Holly Jolly' collection.
Both cards will be donated to Russell's Hall Hospitals Kidney unit in the West Midlands, along with some others I am going to make very shortly..... My younger brother has Kidney dialysis there 3 times a week and they are wonderful!!

Never too old for cupcakes........

I was lucky enough to get some of the new Lili of the Valley stamps at the NEC last week, including this one 'Never too old for cupakes'...

The bow stamp is also from Lili of the Valley and coloured using Copics. I coloured the main image using copics too.

I'm not sure if the camera picked it up but I used glossy accents on the icing to make it look glazed and glitter on her wings.

The inside I decorated with left over papers from the front.
I'm entering this card in this weeks Lili of the Valley Bright and Sparkly Challenge....please visit their blog at http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ to see the amazing design team cards....

Sunshine on a rainy day.......

This card is a bit different to my usual style, but the papers are so lovely it was a shame to cover them up with a stamped image......

This backing card is Stampin up! in Chocolate chip and the papers are from My Mind's Eye's lost and found collection (the Sunshine one).

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and I punched the Butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch and some of the papers from the same collection.
This is the inside.....just made with some of the leftover paper from the front.

Two new cards.....

Hi :-)

Well it's been a long time but I'm back on my blog and have two new cards for you today....

The first one is using Marci Ballerina (one of my faves) from La la land crafts. She is cloloured using Copic Markers. My backing card is from Stampin up! and the colour is Melon Mambo.  In her hair i have used liquid pearls and the stiching is using the Sew Easy with buttercream (yum!) embroidery floss.

My second card is using Hero Arts 'Robot Trio' stamps (it is a set of three and this is one of them) and coloured using Copics again. The Papers are from My Mind's Eye 'Breeze' collection. The brads are Basic Grey (Sweet Threads) and I used glossy accents on the balloon and cake frosting...
Hope you have a lovely day!!!

Nina Ballerina....

Ok....so I couldn't resist another entry into this weeks Paper Sundaes Challenge. The entries this week are amazing, but if you have looked at my previous posts you will be well aware of my passion for lili of the valley stamps (sponsors of this weeks challenge).....so I thought I would enter the card I made this evening....

This stamp is actually called 'Marci Ballerina' from La la land crafts, but at school they always used to sing 'Nina the pretty ballerina' at me (think it was a cartoon?), so I thought for this card I would rename her! I bought her from a US site as I couldn't find her in the UK. The ribbon and flower is from Craft fairy and the paper is Me and My Big Ideas. I coloured the image using copic markers.....

Fingers crossed for the challenge :-)

A Mother's Day Card and You Tube....

This is a Mother's Day card I have made using a new Magnolia Image from the 'You are so special' collection 2011.
She is actually coloured using a mixture of Copics (Skin, Hair and shoes) and Promarkers (Clothes and flowers). This is because I am just changing over to Copics and didn't have the colours I wanted for the clother yet :-)

Please check out my You Tube Channel (Ninasanangel) as I have uploaded some colouring video's. However I had a mixture of success...the first was fuzzy, I improved the quality of the last two but lost sound...Oh well I'm sure I'll figure it out soon!!

Whiff of joy and an upside down dog.....

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you two cards I have made using Whiff of Joy 'Willow' stamps....

Both are coloured using promarkers and using Stampin up cardstock in Basic Grey for the backing card. The paper for 'Williow with coffee cup' is from MME Tickled Pink and for 'Dancing Willow' from Me and My Big Ideas Fashion District. The flower is from Prima.

Finally, I read somewhere that a bizarre craze has started on the internet of people taking photos of their Dog upside down.....Strange!! But as my dog is always upside down I thought I would add this photo.....ha ha :-)

Lili of the valley stamps.....

Hi again!

I thought I would share a card I have made using a LOTV stamp. As soon as I saw this stroppy little madam I knew she was perfect for a card for my Sis (sorry Kate!)....
I have coloured her using promarkers (I have recently changed to copics, but more on that another day!). The Happy Birthday is from 'My sentiments exactly' and the words from Catslife Press.
I just love Lili of the Valley stamps and am really looking forward to getting some of the new spring collection at the NEC next week! Cant wait!!

A quick card.....

Here is a card I have made using my new My Minds Eye stamp set. The set is called Mabel "So Sweet" from the Stella and Rose collection....

I stamped the lamp in Stampin up Chocolate chip ink and then did a bit of shading with Copics to make it more 3D. The sentiment is from Catslife press and the papers are from DCVW linen closet and My Minds Eye 'Tickled Pink'.

Hope you have a lovely day!
