I set myself a challenge of making a card without using any patterned paper.....no easy task, let me tell you!
I am so addicted to patterned paper but here is the finished card.......
I used an image from sugar nellie, Party Princess, with a sentiment from Paper Smooches. The image is cloloured as always using copics and finished with some glitter. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder and I added the brads and flowers to make up for the void that the lack of patterned paper caused :-) Anyway, I'm pleased with the finished look, I'm not sure if it would work so well with a small image and sentiment so I may have to give that a try........

Introduction.........
I first started making cards about 7 years ago after watching a craft show on TV and pretty soon I was hooked!! I mainly use rubber stamps for my cards as I love colouring the images.
I buy my suppplies from many wondeful online retailers or I stock up when I go to the shows at the NEC twice a year.
I hope you enjoy my blog.....

It's finally Friday......
Work is over for another week and I couldnt be happier about it....it's been a busy one!!
I did manage to make a couple of cards in the week though. The first is using a paper smooches stamps from 'My Peeps' and the sentiment is from 'simple said'. I have coloured the image using BG10, BG45 and BG49 copic markers and added a touch of stickes for some sparkle.
The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder onto Stampin up Melon Mambo card stock. The lower background is paper from Echo Park and the upper area is Stampin up pink pirouette card with a feather stamp (from the same set as the main image) just randomly stamped with a Versamark ink pad.
I added a bit of cream twine and mounted on Pool Party card stock (from SU again!)
The next card I made with Pool Party again (as it was already on my desk, so why not!) and decided to try something a little different. I dont use white card very often so I thought would try a clean/crisp look to this card with a lot of white showing.....I like how it turned out. The birds are from Technique Tuesday's Aviary kit......Looking back I just wish I had coloured them the other way round, so that the blue bird was on the pink area, but maybe I am just being picky? HmmmmHappy Friday :-)

Summer colours on a rainy day
Well the weather has been just horrible. But that hasnt put me off using some sunny colours in my crafting!
The base card is Stampin Up Daffodil Delight and I Iove it.....it creates such a summery vibrant background. I have also used a touch of chocolate chip for matting and the paper is from Echo Park. I have distressed the edges of the paper with Antique Linen distress ink to match the background of the stamped image.
The image is one I have used a few times from Lili of the Valley and it comes with the sentiment stamp 'never too old for cupcake'. Too right!!
I have coloured using copics and added some glitter and glossy accents to the image to make it sparkle and shine.

There is a touch of colouring using Copics BG10 and BG45
Card is Stampin Up Pool Party and very vanilla
The twine and brads I'm not too sure as they are from my bits and pieces drawer (basically its a drawer where everything that doesnt have a specific place gets put....its a mess!)
Anyway hope you all have a great weekend

First mobile upload.....
Happy weekend everyone!
Thought I would share this card I made using a wood mounted stamp featuring 'house mouse'....
Such a cute image! I have coloured using copics and distressed the edges with antique linen distress ink.
The papers are from a first edition papers spring collection and the ribbon from craft fairy. The card is pink pirouette and chocolate chip from stampin up!
I hope this appears ok on my blog because I am uploading and editing this post on my phone for the first time using a new App, so fingers crossed :-)......

I <3 Paper Smooches
I know its been a while since I posted, but i've been using every spare minute I have playing with my new paper smooches stamps!! I'm so excited by these, they are currently difficult to find in the UK, so I orderedsome from 'make the day special' website and the rest direct from the Paper Smooches online shop, which is based in the US.
I can't wait to build up my collection but here is what I have made so far......
This little turtle cutie is from the Party Posse set The birds are from 'My peeps' set.....all are coloured using Copics and with papers from Echo Park (love their papers)This is the'My Peeps' set again, they are so versatile, this could be a new baby card, although its not what I planned it to be!!!! :-)
I made a few from the 'My Guy' set for Fathers day too....
Anyway, please visit www.papersmoochesstamps.com to see all their goodies, I can't wait to get back to my craft desk :-)
